Officially in France

I am on the computer at school. It is very difficult to type because all the letters are in the wrong place and you have to press shift to get a full stop :)

France is beautiful though I must say those 2 years of French lessons havent done me much good. haha my vocabulary consists of oui, non, and merci. Its all very bizzare not talking constantly and not understandiong a word people say.

My host family are brilliant. They are both so nice and they even try speaking english now and then, even though they claim it is a very difficult language to speak.

Escurolles is the cutest place on the planet. It is all rustic with vine covered houses and cobble stone streets. There isnt much there, just a cafe/bar, a small grocery store and a post office. There is a primary school though. I saw all the gorgeous little kids going there this morning.French children are extra cute because they are always rugged up in huge hooded jackets that go down to their knees.

Koly took me to Vichy this morning and I absolutely loved it! It is so beautiful, with its grand terraced apartment buildings, a very large and very neat park, and plenty of boutiques, patisseries, and cafes. You'll be glad to know that I have taken a lovely step to my future francais land obesity by trying a lovely raspberry tart at one of the lavish patisseries. It was so good. Australia really needs to work on their pastry making.

I'm starting school tomorrow. We just came in today to get my timetable. I'm studying french, english, spanish, maths, art, gym, science, and music, though i dont know how i'm going to find my classes... this place is massive!! And everyone is so small. Seriously, I am atleast a head taller than most of them, even the adults and the men! I feel gigantic.

Anyways, I'd better go.

PS. The flight was soooooo long and i only slept for 15mins (through a meal unfortunately). I did however watch some top movies (not), including fame and the hannah montanna movie. Wooh!
